  • Hi, I have the NOD32 Antivirus 3.0.621 and it worked only on 25 December; after that date the server says to me that I have the current virus signature database(2747) but this isn't the truth because the current virus signature database is 2751 on 27 December.

    Here Is The Procedure To Install Patch -

    Install ESS 3.0.x or Antivirus 3.0.x and DONOT resart or update.

    Open othereav3 folder and open Other EAV3 upgrade server registry file and click yes.

    Then go to nod32 update setup by entering setup tree and their in server option choose the new added server.
    "There will be only 1 server option avialable.
    and then click ok and try updating.
    Done it will work!!!

  • HOW TO INSTALL PATCH

    HERE IS THE PROCEDURE TO HELP PEOPLE -

    Install ESS 3.0 or Antivirus 3.0 and DONOT resart or update.

    Open othereav3 folder and run Other EAV3 upgrade server registry file and click yes.

    Then go to nod32 setup and then click Toggle Advance mode and by entering advanced setup tree click on update option.

    Their in update server option choose the new added server.
    "There will be only 1 server option avialable."

    Click Ok and start updating.
    U R done!

    If ur icon is in red it means there is some problem in ur system...so try again by reinstalling program....

  • I've done EXACTLY what Nonu said but when I'm trying to update it comes to 50%, then it says "Error downloading file from update server"! So, what to do?! I've unistalled and taken away the Nod32 files from my computer and installed again but it says the same thing!

  • it updates to version 2740. If you click update again it updates but halfway stops and say virus signature could not be updated. Bottomline, its not working and i hope you fix it soon.

  • I downlaoded the patch. Added the registry file and then you go to ADVANCED SETUP and choose the new UPGRADE SERVER that is created.

    HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    it does update the new virus definitions BUT does NOT complete the procedure and returns to the previous ones.

    Downloads the new ones but DOES NOT complete.

    Why is that???

  • confirming what "61.bluefan" said. instal the patch, meaning just double click on the reg file whitch you have download from this website, it wil be merged in your system properly, then open your nod32's setup menu click on "enter entire advanced setup tree" then click on update enter any username and password form this page, and set your update server to "http//:anonymouse.org/cgi-bin........." anywais this server is instaled whit your nod32 "legal copy" ;)works just like "bluefan" wrote (only in fewer words) :P. ok, enougth chit-chat, enjoy surfing safe u litele troubelmakers u. P.S. romania loves nod32 ;)

  • also, don't worry if the number and date of your virus database is 4 example "2658 20071114" after u have done a successful update (u can read the steps above), your nod32 icon from your right of your screen will turn green. I'm using nod32 3.0.566.0. So green is good (in any case). Long live Bluefan and hail to nod32. from romania whit smokin' love ;).

  • here's what i tried and now it works for me (v.3.0.621):

    1.update using nod32 original update servers (enter current registration id from this site, try several unless one works)
    2.change your update server to "http://anonymouse.org/cgi-bin/anon-www.cgi/http://www.nod32upd.do.am/v3/" (from the 'other' patch) and delete the previously entered id info (maybe this is not necessary)
    3.wait until new database update is published (usually half a day)
    4.try updating using the 'false' update server
    5.post the results here to let others know

    Update successfully,tks. The method is firstly install the reg file,and then clik "advanced setting", chose "update", and chose the update url in the dropdown list of "update servers".

    I have instaled trial version EAV 3.0.572.0 PL than I have opened othereav3 and put file into registery. Next I have opened NOD32, pressed F5, changed useername and password (UserName: EAV-00319013 PassWord: 8sca58a88p) and now I have lecense to 2008-03-03. So I am going to vist this unearthy page in March :)

  • It seems that Smart security have more problems regarding updates. I use both, antivirus and smart security and I had no problems with updating antivirus, although there was a problem with S.Security - ''Undocumented Serious Error (0x101a)''.
